90 lbs ~ Imported from Serbia ~ DOB: March 2017
English Golden Retriever ~ AKC Registered ~ Pet only, not part of our breeding program
Pure white, beautiful silky wavy coat, giant blocky head, black as night pigmentation, gorgeous feathers, lovely full tail which he carries very proudly when he picks up his amazing floating trot. I’m not sure his feet actually touch the ground when he naturally does this gate, it’s magical!
He is a total character and personality PLUS. He is your typical Golden that has NO clue how big he is and still think he can fit into that tiny space (whatever that is) or be on your lap like he did as a puppy. He is the first one to shatter the glass ceiling rule of “no dogs on the furniture” … ah-ehm, yeah we’re that family now!
He has nothing but love for everyone one and everything and he truly has the most amazing kindest personality I’ve ever met. He has such a playful and curious spirit and is so gentle with the babies. With Hopes 2017 litter, he was mesmerized by the littles in the whelping box. He would just quietly lay there next to the box and watch them (and eventually take a nap) and as they got a little bigger, he would stick his big head in there and just be still and let them explore this new “foreign object”! And I’m pretty convinced that he thinks we purchased Willow especially for him as a playmate! From day 1 he and her have been besties and he was SO gentle with her when they first started playing together we didn’t even need to really tell him (even though we were both being mother hens hovering over the situation for the first few times just to make sure, lol!). They love to play with each other; he is the best babysitter a fur-mama could ask for!
He’s ALWAYS happy and loves to talk to you! My favorite is when you first get home and he “woo – woo – woo's” at you. It’s not a bark or a howl, but just him talking. He also does a very quiet ‘woof’ at you to let you know how happy he is that it’s dinner time and will keep running back to you ‘woofing’ quietly until you get to his dish. He loves toys, especially soft stuffed animals and he doesn’t destroy them in anyway ... he has a bloodhound nose for sniffing them out too! He knows right where his mama keeps the new stash in the closet and several times a month will basically march me over to this closet and let me know it's time for a new stuffy to be given to him! He is VERY soft mouthed. He loves the water too and loves to launch off the dock into the water, albeit, not super graceful but he does make a big splash!. Once he settles, he will just stroll around in the water swimming very calmly and quietly and just cruise.
We stepped out of our comfort zone when we decided to purchase him oversees and have him imported from Golden Romance Kennels in Serbia. It was a nerve wracking decision not being able to see him in person and the waiting period until he arrived was excruciating –but once he did it was love at first sight and I wouldn’t trade him for the world. We were so looking forward to him being one of our foundation studs, but alas as it sometimes goes even to breeders ... this lovely boy got the short end of the stick when it came to his hips. This was one of the most heartbreaking OFA health cert results that we received, his hips did not pass up to our standards and so the very difficult decision was made that he would not be part of our breeding program, which was just devastating to us. So now he'll just be a very treasured forever boy in our pack and a permanent fixture at my office with me every day greeting clients with of course stuffies in his mouth! What a love!!!!
Don't miss our Friday night Facebook Live events! After the puppies are born, we will host a Facebook Live event every Friday at 6:00 pm Alaska Standard Time for everyone to tune in and see the puppies!
